Thanksgiving! Have you ever thought about the word Thanksgiving? What does it really mean?
Unfortunately here in the wonderful U.S. of A we think that it is a day that should be spent gorging ourselves with great food and sitting on the couch watching football. We all sit around and enjoy our day off of work and spend time with family that we haven't seen since last year's Thanksgiving.
Our lives should really be a constant Thanksgiving. I am convicted so often of how much complaining I do. I get impatient behind the slow driver or the person in line before me who is writing a check. However, as my Mom read today at our Thanksgiving meal I should be thankful for slow drivers because it means I have dependable transportation. I should be thankful for laundry because it means I have clothes.
We celebrate Thanksgiving and on that one day we are more thankful than usual. However, Thanksgiving should make us stop and ask ourselves if we are thankful all of the time.
This past year has been a lot different than I thought it would be when it began in January. But, I wouldn't change any of it. God has taught me so much and broken me of so many things in my life. He has brought new friends into my life and renewed old friendships. He has healed situations that need to be closed as well as opening up new doors that I need to have faith to walk through. He has provided in so many areas and taught me that I need to have faith even when I don't understand!
I am so thankful that I live in a country that has freedom to worship, for a family that loves me, and that I have good health to be able to serve an Awesome God!

POST SOMETHING!!!!!
OK then.....why don't you just put this poor neglected blog out of it's misery? You haven't even bothered to pop in and see if it's getting along alright in 4 months!
Since your last post my wife and I have celebrated out 10th anniversary, I turned 35, my daughter turned 6, John McCain won the GOP Presidential nomination, the Giants won the Super Bowl, and Brett Favre retired..... it's been a while, Hanah.....
So......are you married yet? It's been so long since you posted anything that I'm beginning to lose track of things.....any kids yet?
I hate to say it, Hannah, but it might be time to put this thing out of its misery......wasted real estate on the side of the information super highway, dude...... The least you could do is stop by to mow the grass every now and again.
Well Hannah, we've been moving so I haven't been on the internet for a week or so....I see you haven't been either!
I'm beginning to wonder why I still have you on my blogroll.....people might click through from reading my blog and wonder why on earth I'm still linking to you, Hannah. You're gross neglect and embarrassing inactivity are beginning to have a negative affect on my reputation!
Hannah,
I saw your sister the other night (she's had like 4 birthdays since your last blog entry...she can drive now). Anyway, she told me that she thinks you should put your blog down. I disagreed with her at first, but her arguments were quite persuasive. Perhaps she's right....
